From the city, concerning Gidden's Park
Giddens
Interactive Water Feature: The equipment has been
tested and has passed its final electrical inspection per
the COT Electrical Inspector. The final plumbing
inspection is scheduled, but not completed as of yet. The
water jets have been installed and the adjacent concrete
surface repaired. The next stage will be the
surfacing of the splash pad area with the "compass
rose" design (yellow, green and blue) and the
surrounding circular sidewalk (beige). Work is
expected to start in the next several weeks.
We
have the PO for gazebo and it takes approx 8-10
weeks for manufacturing. During that time, we will
get it through permitting then it will take about
2-3 weeks to build the raised platform and erect the
unit.
The
PO for additional sidewalks from the
shelter/restroom area to the new gazebo and around the
multipurpose court to connect to the sidewalk on
Giddens Avenue. This will be installed after the
gazebo to avoid contraction impacts to the sidewalk and
because the sidewalk ramps up the raised base of the
gazebo to provide barrier-free access on the east side
of the gazebo.
